Diabetes educator and dietititan Lauren Bernstein does counseling and glucose checks each month at Rahway Food for Friends, a food pantry that provides special bags filled with food appropriate for people with diabetes.

Mindy Cohen, RN, APN, CGP, DRCC, CARN, who leads our caregivers, breast cancer, fibromyalgia and cancer support groups at the RWJ Rahway Fitness & Wellness Center, has won the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) award for excellence in practice.
She will receive this prestigious national award at the organization’s 30th Annual Conference in October.
The APNA Annual Awards recognize APNA members who demonstrate excellence in psychiatric-mental health nursing practice, education, research, leadership, community efforts, and more. A quote from her nomination letter reads: "Mindy’s group members develop resilience through her efforts, which allows them to successfully manage their illness with optimism and empowerment."
