Founded in 1917, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway is an acute-care hospital providing a continuum of healthcare services to help you Get Better and Stay Better.
We offer 24-hour emergency care, a mobile intensive care unit with experienced, certified paramedics, critical care, emergency angioplasty, telemetry, cardiac, stress testing and other cardiac diagnostic testing, plus pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation. We offer a full range of diagnostic services, as well as neurology, surgery, and a pediatric emergency room. We are a state-designated primary stroke center.
The hospital is renowned for its subacute care, acute long-term care and rehabilitation services both in the hospital, and as outpatient services here and through our fitness centers in Scotch Plains and Carteret. As a community hospital, we constantly evolve to meet the needs of our community, focusing on the treatment of injury and illness, as well as prevention through our community fitness centers and educational programming.
