"Delivering
Compassionate Care...Close to Home"
Founded
in 1917, Rahway Hospital is a 297-bed community facility situated
on a sprawling suburban campus in the City of Rahway. Its service
area includes the
municipalities of Rahway, Linden and Clark and surrounding towns of
Garwood,
Cranford, Winfield, Roselle, Roselle Park, Westfield, Scotch Plains,
Fanwood,
Carteret, Woodbridge Township and sections of Edison.
Rahway Hospitals mission is to deliver comprehensive, quality,
low cost health care
services providing access and value to the community through a unified
effort that
meets individual needs with dignity and respect.
With more than 33,000 Emergency Center patients and 13,000 hospital
admissions per year, Rahway Hospital offers a health care continuum
designed to parallel life-long individual needs. The continuum literally
begins outside hospital walls with diverse wellness and prevention
initiatives geared to the very young, teens and adults of every age.
Moving along the continuum, the hospital offers individuals of these
groups services and modalities for the early diagnosis of disease
processes; same-day treatment options; comprehensive inpatient acute
care; and subacute care that can prepare them to once again function
at their highest potential. Home care, nursing home care and hospice
care assist them to meet changing levels of need successfully and
comfortably, according to their personal requirements.
