Peter John Weigel, MD
Dr. Weigel is a board-certified internist and an associate attending physician at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway.
Dr. Weigel received his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore and his Medical Degree from University of Medicine and Dentistry-New Jersey Medical School in Newark. He comleted his residency in internal medicine at University Hospital in Newark.
Dr. Weigel served in the United States Air Force, where he was the Director of Emergency Services at Dover Air Force Base, Dover, DE. He then returned to New Jersey and established his internal medicine practice. Dr. Weigel recently completed an extensive course in problem wound management offered by Diversified Clinical Services, the country’s largest wound care management company. His areas of interest related to wound care include decubitus pressure ulcers and diabetic foot wounds.
Dr. Weigel is a member of both the American College of Physicians and the executive committee of the Union County Medical Society.
