Salvador A. Cuadra, MD

Salvador Cuadra, MD, is a board-certified vascular/general surgeon and a wound care specialist at the Wound Care Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. Specializing in vascular surgery, Dr. Cuadra is currently in private practice with the Cardiovascular Care Group in Westfield, NJ.

The Wound Care Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway is an outpatient treatment center that provides interdisciplinary and comprehensive chronic wound treatment. The Center uses innovative, proven techniques that focus on not just treating the wound’s symptoms, but healing it entirely by taking a disease management approach that eliminates the cause.

Dr. Cuadra received his medical degree from, and was chief resident in surgery, at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He completed his vascular fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) – New Jersey Medical School and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University. Dr. Cuadra has authored and presented on a number of vascular and cardiovascular surgery topics and received The Thomas F. O’Donnell, Jr., MD Award for best endovascular paper as well as the Seton Hall University School of Graduate Education Research Award for Best Clinical Investigation/Platform.

A current member of the Vascular Society of New Jersey, Dr. Cuadra previously practiced at the General Vascular Surgical Associates in Newark, NJ, and as a food scientist at The International Food Network developing a line of nutritional beverages.
