Carlos Duncan Burnett, MD, FACS
Carlos Duncan Burnett, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and a wound care consultant at the Wound Care Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. Specializing in plastic, reconstructive, and hand surgery, Dr. Burnett is an attending physician and clinical assistant instructor at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway as well as Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ.
The Wound Care Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway is an outpatient treatment center that provides interdisciplinary and comprehensive chronic wound treatment.
Dr. Burnett received his Medical Degree from New York University School of Medicine, graduating in the top third of the class. He conducted his residency programs at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and the SUNY Health Science Center of Brooklyn as chief resident in plastic surgery and general surgery, respectively. Dr. Burnett also completed his fellowship programs in reconstructive plastic surgery at Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center in Downey, CA, and in orthopedic hand surgery at University of Southern California School of Medicine.
Dr. Burnett has authored numerous articles and presented on various plastic surgery topics. He is a current member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and a Fellow member of the American College of Surgeons, New Jersey Chapter.
In addition to his professional career as a plastic surgeon, Dr. Burnett donates his time as a volunteer with “Healing the Children.” Most recently he provided cleft lip/palate, hand, reconstructive, and postburn reconstructive surgery during a trip to Ahauchapan, El Salvador.
Dr. Burnett’s office is located in Westfield, NJ.
