Let Us Help You Sleep Well
Do you have trouble falling asleep? Do you wake frequently during the night? Do you repeatedly wake up tired in the morning, even after what feels like a full night’s sleep. Are you told you snore, gasp, talk or thrash around in your sleep?
If you do, you may have a sleep disorder. And you are not alone. Some 65 million American adults say they have trouble with their sleep. To date, more than 100 sleep disorders have been identified.
Chronic lack of sleep or poor quality sleep affects your health and safety. It can also interfere with your relationships.
That’s where the SleepCare Center comes in. A polysomnogram or sleepstudy at our sleep center will help your physician diagnose and treat your sleep problems.
The Latest Technology in a Comfortable Setting
A medical history and physical exam will determine whether you could benefit from a sleep study.
If your doctor determines you will need a sleep study, you will find that our bedroom facilities are comfortable and private, more like a hotel room than a hospital room. In addition to comfortable furniture, there is a private bathroom, television and reading lamp. Shower facilities are available.
A sleep technologist will prepare you for the sleep study and monitor you through out the study via a video camera for your safety. Sleep studies can be performed during the day for those individuals who work the night shift.
What does a night of testing tell us?
The test provides us with a comprehensive record of your sleep patterns, leg movements, blood oxygen levels, heart rhythm, breathing and snoring. Your test results are promptly evaluated by a sleep specialist, who will forward them to your personal physician, along with a diagnosis and recommendation for treatment.
