RAHWAY – Anne Nelson of Rahway was celebrated for serving 15,000 volunteer hours at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway.
Ms. Nelson, a retired accountant, has been donating her time and talent to the hospital since 1986. She also volunteers at Rutgers University. Her services to the hospital include help in the Emergency Center, as well as serving as a hospital ambassador on weekends, helping family members find their way around the hospital.
During a celebration of hospital volunteers, the hospital honored Ms. Nelson and several longtime volunteers. Joseph Rotondo and Art Shumkler, both of Rahway, were honored for serving 10,000 hours. Arthur Klose of Linden, John Simonini of Cranford, John Surma of Rahway and Anne Werson of Linden were all honored for 5,000 hours.
