Rahway – Receive physical therapy services in an upbeat environment at the new RWJ Rahway Fitness & Wellness Center in Scotch Plains.
Licensed, highly skilled physical therapists associated with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway provide individualized physical therapy services using the latest equipment and techniques in the beautiful new RWJ Rahway Fitness & Wellness Center at 2120 Lamberts Mill Road.
Physical therapy is not restricted to members of the RWJ Rahway Fitness & Wellness Center. Anyone with a physician’s prescription for physical therapy can receive services there. Therapists can assist patients with sports injuries, back and neck pain, arthritis and other conditions.
In addition to its physical therapy equipment, the Fitness Center also has three pools. “The aquatics center gives us the opportunity to provide patients with degenerative injuries and those who have just undergone orthopedic surgery a low-impact exercise option. It also gives athletes who are unable to train on dry land the opportunity to condition in the water,” according to rehabilitation manager Michael Baumer, a physical therapist with more than 20 years’ experience. The center’s three pools are connected to a well-appointed locker room.
