Long-Term Care Planning:
What You Need to Know
An educational program about long-term care planning will be held Monday, July 9, at 6 pm at the RWJ Rahway Fitness & Wellness Center, located at 2120 Lambert’s Mill Road, Scotch Plains.
In this free program you will learn about the shortcomings of private health insurance plans and Medicare, as well as the impact of asset transfers to qualify for Medicaid. You also will learn about long-term care insurance and the tax incentives for this type of insurance. The program covers living wills, health care proxies and durable power of attorney.
The program speakers are Fred Busler, Jr. CPA (Inactive) of Parsippany-based Certified Financial Services, LLC and Bonnie Busler, an independent agent who has made long-term care planning a personal crusade based on her family’s experience. The program is free, but registration is required. To register call (908) 864-0521.
