Dear Patient, Family and Friends:
Everyone associated with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at
Rahway (RWJUH Rahway) welcomes you. It is the mission of the
hospital to deliver comprehensive, quality, cost effective health care
services providing access and value to the community through a unified
effort that meets individual needs with dignity and respect.
This booklet is designed to provide answers to the questions almost
every patient, their families and friends ask about the facilities and
services at the hospital. It also contains the Patient Rights as defined by
public law and endorsed by the hospital's Board of Governors, Medical
Staff and the administration. Your responsibilities as a patient are also
contained in this booklet. If you have further questions, your nurse can
assist you or you can call the Patient Advocate between the hours of
9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays, extension 6136.
When you return home you may receive a letter from me with a survey
regarding satisfaction. Patient satisfaction in paramount. Your feedback
is important to us and will help us to improve everyday. If you believe
you received very good care, please circle “5” for that question.
