The Consumer Health Library is a service provided by the Health Sciences Library at Rahway Hospital. The library provides patients and family members with the latest medical and health information and treatment options.
The Consumer Health Library offers variety of resources including medical journals, textbook and health newsletters.
Via Internet, the Library provides access to numerous medical resources and institutions. These include the National Library of Medicine, the National Institutes of Health and National Cancer Institute, and other web sites that are devoted to informing the public about specific diseases.

Your topic will be searched using a variety of resources. You will be provided with journal articles, textbook entries or Internet printouts related to your question written in non-technical language.
Photocopying is available free of charge.
The Library provides information not medical advice. Although we are happy to help you find materials you need, your health care professional is the person qualified to give you a medical opinion.

The Consumer Health Library is open to all members of the community and patients. All needing information are invited to visit the Library between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
