Your Shift, Your Choice
Nursing staff at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway now have more options on when they want to work extra shifts, thanks to a new computerized system. The web-based technology allows nurse managers throughout the hospital to post their open shifts online. Qualified staff can then view and request the open shifts they’d like to work. The program is being offered to eligible full time, part time and per diem staff, and is expected to be broadened to include additional departments in the future.
Called RWJUHR BidShift, the program can be accessed from the Internet https://rwjuhr.bidshift.com/ and the hospital Intranet so it’s accessible to managers and employees 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Robert Wood Johnson Rahway is the first hospital in the region to offer staff this option.
