Rehabilitation Attendant Per Diem Transport patents in a safe manner, with their medical record, equipment or devices as needed, to and from the Fitness Center Parking lot or lobby. Transfer or assist to transfer patients to wheelchair or treatment table maintaining weight bearing status and/or other patient safety precautions. Prepare treatment area and assist patients in preparation for and during treatment sessions under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist. Transporter Per Diem The primary responsibility of a Transporter is to escort patients, via stretcher or wheelchair, from their patient care unit to the Radiology department and back in a very safe and efficient manner. A transporter must be able to communicate well with the patient to assure a positive experience when having an imaging procedure. Surgical Technician Full Time The Surgical Technologist (ST) delivers care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the ASC/AST and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics. Sterile Processing Technician Full Time The Sterile Processing Technician has working knowledge of the following: decontamination, sterilization, instrument assembly, packaging and biologic monitoring of instrumentation, linen, case cart assembly and specialty cart assembly and have the ability to read and document biological tests to ensure the functionality of sterilization equipment. The Sterile Processing Technician has the ability to identify and assemble surgical instrumentation trays and ensure functionality, cleanliness and completeness of trays. They must be able to prioritize work according to surgical schedules and case cart pick lists and have some knowledge of storeroom supplies and distribution services. The ability to multi-task and work during stressful situations is an essential job function. The Sterile Processing Technician must have excellent customer service skills and maintain knowledge of the AAMI, NJDOH and Central Sterile Processing regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact the Sterile Processing area. Stationary Engineer (Boiler Room Operator) Per Diem The Stationary Engineer is responsible for observing the Boiler Room equipment, meters and gauges to ensure that the operation is in accordance with the regulations and specific instructions. He/she shall record these observations on appropriate log sheets. The Stationary Engineer should be able to stop, start and switch over boilers appropriately. Clean and repair boilers, blow tubes and discharge sediment, regulate feed water and condensate pumps, lubricate equipment. Also responsible for performing work such as repacking valves as needed, and change piping. Clean and paint in boiler room as needed and lubricate boiler compressors, pumps and related parts regularly. The Stationary Engineer is expected to perform minor repairs such as replacing work gaskets, tightening joints, and replacing defective meters and keep logs on each boiler and emergency generator, logging results, reactions, etc., using specific chemicals, periodically test and treat boiler water and chill water. The Stationary Engineer is also responsible for blowing down boilers when needed according to directions and make adjustments and changes to the computer controlled environmental system through the use of data entry terminal. The Stationary Engineer may participate in snow removal activities as required. Change belts on air handlers as required (emergency situations) and may be asked to work with maintenance personnel in emergency situations.
